Hollis Gardens is a Great Outdoor Lakeland wedding Venue Near Lake Mirror Park
Located in Downtown Lakeland’s historic district right next to lake Mirror, Hollis Gardens is a dream outdoor Lakeland wedding venue. It’s packed with palm trees, flower gardens featuring unique patterns, and beautiful water fountains. Even on the sunniest of days in the sunshine state the tall trees and lush gardens disburse the light for balanced and perfectly exposed shots. The palm trees and boutique arrangements are perfectly aesthetic making backdrops balanced, exotic, and elegant.
A wedding at Hollis Gardens provides various landscapes and scenery to suit all outdoor photography wishes. There’s a section that makes you feel like you’re in a Rain forest, complete with a rock wall, a pond, and a water fall. We love shooting more interment shots here. It’s almost entirely closed in by trees overhead, which makes it the perfect tropical scene for romantic shots.
There’s a large open field, great for wide shots. One of the brides we were working with was even good enough to run across the field and leap into the air where her husband caught her. It made for an amazing shot and is still one of our favorites!
The circular courtyard is a gorgeous location for ceremonies. There’s a great fountain right in the middle and an overhead covering to keep the bridal party out of the sun. It’s best suited for small to medium sized weddings. Weddings with one hundred people or less would be most comfortable. If you are in the Tampa or Orlando areas, Hollis Gardens is around a 30-45 minute drive.
One of the best features of Hollis gardens is the fact that it’s connected to Lake Mirror. Usually whenever we’ve gotten all the shots we want in the gardens, we take a quick 2-3 minute walk down to the lake. Some of the best shots we’ve gotten were taken at Lake Mirror.

· For exclusivity the gardens are closed off to anyone who isn’t in attending the wedding and the price is 772
